When siblings Grady, Porter and Paisley Wolkowski (ages 7, 5 and 2) discovered that their friend Luke Latham was hospitalized for pnemonia the night of October 31st, 2011 Grady, Porter and Paisley hand-delivered the best candy and sweets their pillowcases had to offer for Luke from their night of trick or treating. These little “sweet” hearts really did show us how easy it can be to use their Pay It Forward Cards. This just goes to prove that it doesn’t matter how old or young you are there are to show kindness and generosity toward others.
Porter still talks about how Chase always wore his wranglers, a cowboy shirt and a belt. I told the boys about this blog and they are so proud that they are a part of Chase’s Memory. We had found another one of Chase’s Pay-it-Forward cards the other day and the kids were asking when they can use it again. Chase was an amazing little boy with a sparkling personality to match those sparkling little eyes and he will never be forgotten. He touched many lives, will continue to, and will always be remembered.
Special thanks to Grady, Porter and Paisley’s mom – Carmen Wolkowski for agreeing to share her children’s story.
