Del and Ted Palagian of Canora are a couple who are very community minded and continually donate their time and energy for others in town. On September 28th 2012, they set up a booth at Cultural Days held in the Sylvia Fedoruk Center in Canora, SK. They sold various baked and canned goods including homemade Perogies, German sausage, soups, pumpkin pie, and other tasty treats.
Val Lewchuk and Violet Toffan also donated their time to help Del and Ted man the booth for the day. And what a day they had! Their efforts brought in a whopping $730 which they in turn have donated to the building of the Chase Kraynick “Pay It Forward” Splash Park. We hope that you all had the opportunity to either purchase or taste their delicious treats. We would like you to know that the tremendous amount of time you have put into pinching all of the perogies, making the pies, soups and sausage are so appreciated. Your kindness of heart and continued commitment to making our community a better place do not go unnoticed. Thank you for sharing your story with us. To those of your reading this today . . . if you see Del or Ted on the street, please stop and give them a hug from us all.
