Giving back is an important part of First Nations culture. Throughout the year, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) and its casinos support hundreds of organizations and events. By embracing and implementing the teachings of their Elders, SIGA fosters its philanthropic commitment by giving back to its communities. SIGA is committed to build and enrich the communities in Saskatchewan so everyone can benefit.
SIGA also operates the Community Development Corporations (CDCs) which receives funding equivalent to 25% of the net profits of the on-reserve casinos. Each Community Development Corporation gives 100% of its profits back to the people of Saskatchewan. They consider applications for funding from First Nations and non-First Nations organizations located in communities surrounding each casino for initiatives in the following areas: economic development, social development, justice initiatives, educational development, recreational facilities operation and development, senior and youth programs, cultural development, community infrastructure development and maintenance, health initiatives, and other charitable purposes.
This year we submitted an application for funding to the Painted Hand CDC and they have generously donated $25,000 to the Chase Kraynick Pay it Forward Splash Park!!!!! We are so thankful for their generosity and hope that this park will remind others to find ways to Pay it Forward and make a difference in their community.
We sincerely thank the Painted Hand CDC for making a positive difference in our community!
Chase Made A Difference…Will You?
