SupermanChaseWe of course must say a HUGE thank you to AVIVA for not only supporting and sponsoring this competition but … now for allowing us, a small town in Saskatchewan, to forever remember and pay tribute to our handsome, funny, caring, thoughtful, and loveable son, Chase Andrew Kraynick.  The AVIVA win ensures that our dream of building a Splash Park in his memory WILL come true.

Last, but not least, we say THANK-YOU to the Town of Canora and surrounding area for backing this project (win or lose).  With all of the moral support you’ve shown, we can’t wait to build this park for EVERYONE TO USE! 🙂

Words cannot express our appreciation to every single person who had something to do with our advancement in the competition.  The danger of listing our Thank-You’s at this time is that we don’t want to forget about anyone.  If we have . . . please forgive us.

We have made it through Qualifying Round One AND the Semi-Final round of the AVIVA Community Fund Competition!!!!!  WOW this is BIG!!!! I am so blessed to have all of your support to get us this far in the game.  Now it is all up to the judges in this FINAL round to decide on what they feel is the most worthy project of a terrific sum of money to help make the dreams and possibilities of one deserving community come true.

Judging

We have had such a terrific time competing in this AVIVA Community Fund Competition!!!   It was exciting, nerve wracking, and with all the support shown via your votes, it reinforced the idea that Chase truly did make a difference.  Thank you to everybody who is helping us in our healing journey.  I have to admit that I was glued to the computer watching the votes over the entire 10 days of voting!!!!

Our final total of votes in the semi-final round was just under 17,000 over the 10 days. How terrific is that???  We are entered into the medium category and are being judged against 9 other projects.  If the AVIVA Judges vote in our favor, we can have the splash park built quite easily this coming spring!

But before we get ahead of ourselves we do have quite the list of people to thank who have been instrumental in supporting us all along the way. Our deepest and heartfelt thanks are extended to the following:

Gearing Up for AVIVA Semi-Finals in Yorkton’s Santa Clause Parade

This year Yorkton’s Santa Clause parade was held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 and they had 24 floats entered into the parade.  We could not pass up the opportunity of entering into the festive activities, so we of course entered a float for the AVIVA COMMUNITY FUND competition for Canora’s Chase Kraynick “Pay it forward” Splash Park.  We decorated our float with as much blue and yellow decorations as we could find (which are the AVIVA colors) and had as many Christmas lights hanging off the float as we could muster.

Instead of handing out candy to all the spectators, we passed out Chase’s Pay It Forward cards and the AVIVA silicone wrist bands reminding everyone to start voting for the AVIVA COMPETITION SEMI-FINALS on December 3rd! We are competing against 30 other projects and need your support to get to the final 10 in the judging round.

I would like to thank everyone for helping us in decorating the float, the walkers for passing out all the wrist bands and Pay It Forward cards and, of course, all of the fabulous spectators for cheering us on in support of the project.  The Yorkton parade was a tonne of fun and if you happened to miss it, you can look forward to our float being entered into the “Canora Winter Lights Festival Parade” on December 6th!

Please don’t forget to start voting on December 3rd, by registering on line at www.avivacommunityfund.org and voting for Project #13447.

Aviva Community Fund Project – Voting Information for the Chase Kraynick Memorial Splash Park

Good Morning Everyone!  We need you!!

Please read this post carefully and follow the voting instructions at the bottom to show your support for the Chase Kraynick Memorial Splash Park.

We are very excited at the prospect that this wonderful opportunity brings to our community and we are in need of your support and your ability to take action in making a difference right here, in heart of this wonderful province.

We have entered the Splash Park idea in the Aviva Community Fund competition to win $100,000 which would be put toward building the Chase Kraynick Memorial Splash Park a reality.  Currently we are up against over 300 other project ideas that have been entered from all across Canada.  Therefore, making it through Round 1 is critical.  The only way to advance through this first qualifying round is to collect the highest number of online votes for the project proposal.

This is where we need your support.  We are asking you to vote for our project idea every single day of the voting period.  The online voting timeline is from October 1st to October 15th and votes are tabulated on a daily basis during this time period.

This means that your one daily vote will be counted and then every day after that until October 15, we will ask you to please, please, please log on and vote again.  But here is the trick . . . We will need as many votes as possible to advance through each round.  Therefore, if you have multiple email addresses . . . please vote from each of them every single day from October 1st – October 15th.

We are asking you to take 2 minutes every day to show your support for the Chase Kraynick Memorial Splash Park project idea.  Make it a family event around the breakfast or supper table.  Get your colleagues in on it at work and create some excitement with a work voting challenge.  Please forward this information on to as many friends, family members, co-workers, and acquaintances that you can.  Maybe even send it to your entire contact list. 🙂  People can vote from anywhere in the country and we are relying on the support of you and many others with the voting process to ensure we make it through the initial qualifying rounds.  We know that we already have many friends and followers from around the world as well.  We hope that your votes will also count.

This is a national competition . . . so let’s make all of Canada know that the good people of this province right here in the heart of Good Spirit country really know how to make a difference for their community!!  Please vote!

SO . . . here are the voting instructions:

1.  Go to http://www.avivacommunityfund.org

2.  Vote for Idea # ACF13447
